Travel Info Do you think that modern-day Bollywood is too Westernized? Travel Tips I think they have gone beyond Westernized, the actors/actresses are chosen based on looks,figure or who their parents are rather than actual talent, they all start to look the same after awhile. At least in western countries actors/ actresses have some talent and charm which has earned them to their place in Hollywood. I am not dismissing the talents of all the Bollywood actors and actresses but I think in the past few years its really gone down. The actors and actresses are getting younger and their clothes are getting less, I dont understand y we as a culture allow this hypocritical behavior, in reality would the majority of Indians allow their daughters or sisters to walk around town dressed like this? Do the majority of Indians even look like them? I have been to India and the answer is NO! We are so conservative as a culture but Bollywood has become this outlet as a fantasy world for Indians but in this case I feel that the Indian public will imitate the movies not the other way around and thats a big difference between Hollywood and Bollywood. I personally wish Bollywood would create more thought provoking movies about ordinary people, people we can relate to, not people like Aishwarya Rai who in my opinion does not even look Indian to me. I think Madhuri,Kajol and Rani are all good examples of talented actresses, and sadly these actresses are far and few in Bollywood now. Thanks for the question, I've been wanting to voice my opinions about this for awhile, lol. Others Well, they have to chnage with the times. DO like them to go back in time? Bollywood chicks are hot! There is change every where. One has to move with time. In fact these days Bollywood movies have improved in all fields. They are a treat to watch. At least the movies tell a story, and we don't have to watch people running around trees. yes i think modernday bollywood is simply a ppos copycat of hollywood YES. to tell u the truth i myself live here in australia and the movies i see here are so much better regarding clothes, sex, all that. cause im a teen and its really hard to watch idian movies these days cause havin parents like mine...its big no no. probably out of every 5 movies they make now 1-2 can be watched as a family. and i have to say that bollywood movies are so much entetainin than english... |
