Can I board the train for Munich from Frankfurt Airport? |
Travel Info I will be traveling from Germany to austria via munich Travel Tips There is a direct high speed ICE-train from Frankfurt airport station roughly every half an hour which takes little under four hours to Munich. Others I am pretty positive that you can I think I did it when I went from austra to munich to hanover but if you go to your local book store and buy a book called lonely planet for austria and germany it will tell you all kinds of cool info as well as the info you are requesting and its easy to read. Yes of course you can. Train travel in Germany is very extensive. Check out the great German Rail Webpage. It will give you exact departure and arrival times. Just type in where you want to go and from where. I used it for my trip to Germany last year and planned every day's travel before arriving. Everything went perfectly according to plan. http://www.bahn.de/-s:ptvoz9:eypmxdnnzxo... Not only can you check out the schedules on line (thanks Petra), but you can purchase your tickets, and print off the reciept at home, then when you board the train, show the conductor your print out and credit card you paid on, and you are good to go. It is so easy. I did this when coming home on R&R (out of Kuwait) from Frankfurt out to a local train station near Trier. It was too easy. Round trips available too if you are so inclined. First hand experience Go to www.bahn.de and you can select english to book your ticket. The ICE train goes directly from the airport. |
