i am looking for any accound with low service fees.

Travel Tips
Deutsche Bank is highly recommended. I tried Dresdner Bank (I'm living in Dresden) they're not bad, but still not that widely found. Sparkasse... It can get quite expensive if you use ATMs in other parts of Germany. Deutsche Bank is available everywhere and it's free for students under 26. =)

Actually pretty much any bank will do. I have my account with the DRESDNER BANK. They are together with DEUTSCHE BANK and COMMERZBANK - meaning you can use your ATM-card that you'll get when you open a bank account on any of those banks without any fee. If you'd go an ATM that belongs to a different bank you'll get charged with a fee.
I really can't recommend the SPARKASSE. They are all over but they are quite slow when it comes to service and often "the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing"! So, one person might tell you that you can do something, the next person will say No, you can't do that!
There also is the POSTBANK which you can find in post offices (not just there, but most often). That's not so cool because the post office has different / shorter hours than other stores or banks.

When you open an account you don't need to tell them that is only for a couple of month. They don't need to know that. That might make things more difficult when you open the account. And it really doesn't matter for how long you're planning on having it.
I'm from Germany.
I wouldn't recommend Dresdner Bank. Their service is sometimes lousy, but the main problem is they take FOREVER to hold your money when, electronically, it should be there right away!!!
I'm with Sparkasse for 12 years now and they are good. I would always pick them again, good service and they helped me with things where other banks would not have helped.
