Travel Info What kind of activities can you do on queens day in Amsterdam? Travel Tips Too many, there's so much to do and great fun. There will be no trams and buses in the inner city, but walking around is much more fun anyways. There will be many food stands, live DJ's, performances, flea market for kids at the Vondelpark. The party actually already starts the night before. Source(s): was there last year. Other Travel Tips Browse bargains (they have a HUGE flea market), watch people, visit bars and restaurants, listen to live music, and most other stuff that doesn't require larger shops to be open. About everything you can think of....But watch your bag/wallet... streets are very crowded, and most of the people bumping into you will be just as drunk as you are and thus pretty harmless, but the pickpockets see queensday as a special day too;) its a giant party so lots of booze and stuf...(lol) and stuff to buy..they ussualy do this thing where anyone can sell there stuff like a enormous garage sale ( a city sale) well thats how it always was 6 years ago ( im from there) and also the night before lots of stuff goes on ( party's) it's basiclly a big party and very very crowded , you will be able to find some less crowded spots...cause in some area's you sometimes cant even walk...( im not into that) but i find the area of amsterdam called the jordaan the most fun to hang out!! have fun!!! Drink, admire the sea of orange filling the streets, and have fun. (the friday before the cities are full of parties and drinking, kids from the international schools around will go out and have tons of fun, everyone looks forward to queens night) anythign you can think of is done ahahahaha it's a great big party and the biggest flea market you have ever seen, the whole country is selling there junk that day all outside on the streets, it's fun and crazy enjoy |
