How much money do I need to bring to Amsterdam for a week on vacation for spending?

Travel Tips
Let's see...

-A standard meal would cost you between 鈧?0-鈧?5 per person, could be more if you decide to dine fancy.
-Take public transport. You'll need a Strippenkaart. 15 strips would cost about 鈧?-7. 45 strips would cost about 鈧?0. How long the Strippenkaart will last you will depend on how often you get on openbaar vervoer and how far you're going. It costs you 2 strips to get anywhere within the same "zone". If you're gonna ride the public transport a lot, ask the local train station/public transport hub for a "weekabonnement" that will act as a pass for you on the busses, trams, and metros whenever you want for one week. Bring a passport photo to stick in your Weekabonnement.
-Extra money for the train. You can't use Strippenkaart or Weekabonnement on the trains.
-A night at a three-star hotel should cost between 鈧?5-80 per night. Check rates at www.accorhotels.com. Mercure an Ibis hotels are everywhere. Formule1 is the most economic if there is one in Amsterdam Centrum.
-Above all that allow 鈧?00-200 for shopping, museum visits, sightseeing, canal boating, clubbing, and other fun things to do.

That's just an idea. Now do your math. Have fun! Source(s): Amsterdam is niet goedkoop, hoor!

Depends what you want to do. If you want to go out every night it's expensive, are you planning to go and see mu sea or just walk around.

Why don't you look in books like rough guide or lonely planet. (maybe your library has books like that) They have prices from cheap to more expensive, accommodation, how to travel, were to eat etc. Lonely planet has also some info on Internet
http://www.lonelyplanet.com/worldguide/...
destinations/europe/netherland...
(name of the site is to long for yahoo, just copy it)

To get some ideas just look at the site of the vvv (= Dutch for tourist info)
http://www.amsterdamtourist.nl/...

There are special tickets for traveling on public transport. Ask the tourist office for info if you can't find info on their sites or in those books i wrote down.
