Amsterdam - Places to smoke and eat!?

I always struggle to find places in Amsterdam where u can enjoy a good J whilst waiting for some food.

Obviously there is Barneys, but is there anywhere else?

Most licensed coffee shops don't really serve decent food. My favorite food/drink/smoke combination is the Green House on the edge of the RLD, a chinese restaurant called Golden Chopsticks (1 oude doulenstraat) that's like 100 feet or less from the GH mentioned above, and a tiny brown cafe called the Cafe de Dam on damstraat (1.5 blocks away).

Hill street blues it good, can't remember if they sold food tho :S , take a pen though x
well Ive being told you can do it nearly everywhere? you can get grass out of vending machines over there cant you? not to mention cakes/buns laced with the stuff? never touched the stuff my-self,but know this b-cos mother/father-in-laws just come back from a mini-break from there?

The coffee shop with the largest food menu (on the website under "Diner") is La Canna on Kalverstraat. They also have a full bar.

Supposedly, Paradox on Bloemdwarsstraat has a good veggie burger and soups.
