Weed usage in amsterdam airport (Shiphol)? |
Travel Info I was wondering if it is legal to smoke marijuana in the airport. And if you can where can you buy it? And also if i have to leave the airport to do it could they do anything if i got on the plane while high. Travel Tips In general : Schiphol airport has a no smoking policy. You are allowed to smoke outside though. Smoking drugs even in designated smoking areas is not allowed. I`d advise you not to do so in the immediate area of the Airport. The police are not always there, but should they have one of 'those' days - you`re in for a nasty surprise. Others Marijuana is only legal to smoke in certain areas. Schiphol is not one of them. Please try it though! You won't be going home for a while then. It is not OK in the airport but there is a cafe (or used to be) in Centrall train station where it is ok and they sell it. Centrall is where you get on the train from Amsterdam to get to the airport. No, you're not allowed to smoke a joint at the airport. If you're too stoned, they can and will refuse you on their flight. It's the same as with people who are too drunk to fly, they refuse them to. Smoke as much as you want when you're in Amsterdam, sure you'll get fed up with it at some point... NOPE not allowed and nothing can be found at any site of the airport. The city is jsut 15 minutes away from Schiphol and I am sure you won't have to look far to find a coffeshop. But hey Amsterdam is realy more than this believe me Easy enough, you can't smoke at all at the airport. No joint, cigarettes or cigars. There may be designated areas where you can smoke the usual smoke,but weed isn't one of them. If you have a lay over you can't leave the airport between flights, unless you do have a stop over. Don't do it. You can't smoke anything in the airport without getting slammed to the ground by one of the 14,000,000 masters of Judo who populate Holland. There are (oh jeez I'm gonna sound like Travolta in Pulp Fiction) designated places where they prefer you smoke weed, mainly coffeeshops. I've walked around the streets of Amsterdam smoking a joint plenty of times, but always kept an eye out for authority figures. Just don't be stupid or offensive about it and they'll leave you alone. Except in Schiphol. DON'T SMOKE THE HERB IN SCHIPHOL!!! |
