Best, easiest and cheapest way to get from Amsterdam to Rotterdam on the bus or train ? |
Travel Info Best, easiest and cheapest way to get from Amsterdam to Rotterdam on the bus or train ? Travel Tips Train would be quickest (about 1 hour) and costs 12.70 euro for a one way ticket and 22.80 for a return ticket. There's trains about every 15 minutes, and there are even trains through the night (once an hour). Both Amsterdam and Rotterdam have several railway stations, however Central station in both cities gives you the quickest ride and the most options. See http://www.ns.nl for planning the trip. Others Good answer from JM, but just an addition; if you're not near the central station on either end, http://www.9292ov.nl may be easier than the ns.nl site. It will give you an itinerary for the entire trip including buses to/from the station. I suggest you go by train, trains go very regularly, like every 30 minutes. From the train station you can go by bus to your final destination, or street car. Happy traveling. ofcourse the cheapest way is to hitchhike, people still do it, not often but hey, lots of old school things are comming back again, you can give it a try. you could also just steal a bike hahahaha do like the dutch and bike your way to rotterdam, it will take a while to get there but it's cheap hahahaha unless you get caught ofcourse than it's expensive hihi(that was a joke, don't steal a bike) the train is a cheap way to get there and fast, there are trains every 15 min. good luck and enjoy Nederlandse Spoorwegen- the railway. Takes between 45 minutes to 75 minutes depending upon Sneltrein or Stoptrein and costs EUR 12.75 from Amsterdam Centraal. |
