Holland in August-September?

Travel Info
What's the weather like? Too many tourists at that time of the year?

Travel Tips
You never know with the weather, pretty hard to be accurate as much as a week in advance, let alone several months... But since we just had the warmest spring in 300 years and several records before that it could very well be very nice/warm/hot weather... Count on rain too though! Temperature extremes could be high as 35/40 or more, or low as 20/15 or less celsius.

There's always too many tourists in Amsterdam but the rest of the country is at least just as interesting in every way with a much more reasonable amount of tourists...
Others
the weather can be nice and the weather can be quite horrible, you never know what you get in the Netherlands...2 days ago there was a storm with hail that caused deaths..it麓s june...still, august-september is your best bet...if you go to Amsterdam, there are always many tourists...especially to see the Anne Frank house, there is always a very, very long queue (and it isn麓t worth the wait btw)
I am from the Netherlands
As someone else mentioned there are always tourists of some kind in Amsterdam, but in September there won't be as many as there are in the Spring (flower season) or Summer (beach weather at the coast). September generally can alternate between warm/cool but you might also experience an "after summer" which is the same as what is termed as an "indian summer" in the U.S. You never know what you'll get precipitation-wise in Holland. Just pack for possible rain & wind. Bring something with sleeves, a hood or a cap, a rain jacket/windbreaker, maybe a pair of shorts *just in case* you have a day of summer-like temps (and want to head over to Zandvoort for the beach) and you'll be all set. Good luck with your plans!
Me (resident of South Holland)
Rather mild and a lot of rain. There are always a lot of tourists.
