How inexpensive can you find a resonable apartment for in Amsterdam? |
Travel Info My husband, 1 year old daughter and I would like to move to Amsterdam. We are wondering how cheap we could find a decent apartment for us in the city also, is it hard to find rental places that allow dogs? Travel Tips Inexpensive and Amsterdam are mutually exclusive for apartments. Check yourself on this website: http://www.funda.nl/woningaanbod/huur/de... As for the dog you would have to ask the realtor or owner. I don't think it's as much of an issue as it is in the US (I could be wrong though, I don't have pets). Others As said above Inexpensive and Amsterdam apartments don't go together. I have seen complete wrecks which people are paying huge amounts of rent on. I'd say stay well clear of "de pijp" centrum, or anywhere else in the immediate vincity of Amsterdam Centre (centrum) try areas such as Amstelveen. Pets vary as is the same in many countries, but you really shouldn't have a real problem with finding a place with pets, its really common for people to have pets, even in the tiniest of houses. Good Luck lived in Netherlands last year. There you go wrong, you said the Word Amsterdam and 'inexpensive' in one sentence. Why on earth, if you want to live in NL, would you live in Amsterdam? It's expensive, dirty, full of pickpockets and IMHO not a place to raise children. The public transport system is excellent. Check places like Haarlem (15 mins by train from A'dam), Leiden (25 mins by train to A'dam Central Station).
