An other question to the Dutch, about 'lekker'....?

Travel Info
Being Dutch myself, I have had plenty moments on which someone asked me to translate the word 'lekker'.
I always struggle with that one, because you could say 'good' or 'tasty' but they both don't get the real feeling of the word.
How would you translate it?

Travel Tips
Lekker can mean various things, depending on context.

In food/drink it can mean good tasting, yummy, nice, good, delicious or i like this food/drink.

It can have a negative meaning as well.
When a person says " Ja, lekker hoor" with a sarcastic tone - it means " what a load of cr*p" or "that went well, NOT" or any variation thereof.

When talking about people it is usually a compliment.
Lekker ding for example is dutch for " hot chick" or " gorgeous guy" (or whatever you use for that)

So, to know the meaning, the context should be known.
Others
Nice, delicious
Lekker hoor - sometime just expression about the feeling - the weather or the foods...

it's so many meaning i guess...
deze vraag kan alleen door nederlanders beantwoord worden, this question only dutch can answer, toch zou ik het ook niet goed kunnen vertalen (net als balen trouwens) , however even i wouldn't know how to translate correctly (just like "balen") to explain i'd use both, and good, and tasty, and maybe even goodlooking, depending on which situation one's talking...

ps wanneer gaan we om een nederlandse versie van "answers" vragen?

You guys need to get your 360 profiles up so we can chat...

Ga ff lekker gezellig erbij halen, lekker makkelijk maak je het zo! ;)

http://babelfish.altavista.com/tr... makes this; Will obtain ff nicely sociable, nicely easy it makes you this way ;)
The best translation for lekker is: very tasty or delicious, it is sometimes used as slang, like een lekker kind, as you know meaning: a cute child. I myself find the word: gezellig harder te translate.
