and where is the best place for me to buy my rolling tabacco and the airport is no good , im stayin in the city centre any ideas pls?

Travel Tips
your rolling tobacco or shag as we call it here is sold in any sigarette store in holland, even in supermarkets because loads of us dutch smoke that stuff also the papers for it so you don't have to worry about that, we have all kinds of brands and flavours, menthol and very strong ones, drum tobacco and rizla rood paper or mascotte paper is usually what is sold most, drum tobacco is i would say as strong as regular Marlboro. I am not a smoker no more, stopped six months ago, but that **** is good hahahahahaha

now if you are talking about some herbs to smoke and role yourself, you don't have to worry about nothing, them are everywhere in amsterdam, just walk into one, feel the vibe, smell the fragrance and look at the menu to see if it's your place to sit.
enjoy yourself when you are staying here.

The Bulldog is great. Have a very relaxing and chilling time man!
Go to Hunters bar on the Woormenstracht. Very laid back place that sells beer too. The 'Tobacco' is about half the price that you would pay in tourist places like the Grasshopper or any of the Bulldogs. Have fun. x
most of the bars/coffee shops sell rollie bacca. it is mostley !drum" ,they seem to prefer that to golden virginia.
check out the bull dog and the grasshopper cafe, these are quite tourity places but are good. look for the church in the red light district and near it you'll see a coffee shop with a gree neon sign (van;t remember what it's called!
there is a coffee shop called "the basement" right in the centre of the red light district, this is one of the best in my opinion!

have a cool time, wish i was going again!!
Go from Dam Square down right past hand the side of the Grand Dam Hotel, after a couple of hundred metres you'll start seeing coffee shops. Stop in one, have a cup of coffee (they only sell one kind,) buy something else from the menu and roll up.

Leave the coffee shop, cross over the canal towards the red light district and stop into the Bulldog (pub - not coffee shop.) You can then enjoy a pint of Heineken and a smoke - an afternoon well spent - enjoy.
I'm from Amsterdam and besides all the great tips from the people above i can recommend some local bars and clubs:

Restaurants:
1) Supperclub, Amsterdam 鈥?eating on a huge bed / lounge style. Has been extremely hip and avant garde, now it鈥檚 just hip. Dj, sometimes dancers, the people who serve the food are an act itself (from midgets to tattooed models etc). / They also have a supperclub cruise behind the central station since two years. Quite funky and the food is quite good.

2) Lambermons, Haarlem: one of my personal fave鈥檚 although you have to go to Haarlem for it (15 min鈥檚 by train). A taste of haute cuisine and very unique. Each half hour they serve little plates which they serve every half hour.
3) Tower 11: very high building (floor 11) near central station, overlooking water and Amsterdam.
4) CP (Cinema Paradiso) 鈥?very nice, busy Italian place in The Jordaan (central Amsterdam) 鈥?chance to spot some Dutch celebs ;-)
5) Pasta e Basta (think it鈥檚 in the Elleboog Steeg, near Prinsen Gracht) 鈥?Very cool restaurant with singing waiters in between courses, not tacky, but really beautiful opera. Food is buffet from a piano or a la carte.

Clubs:
The More / Rozengracht
Supperclub
Club NL (next door to Supperclub) / Relaxed, people, sometimes really good dj鈥檚.
Jimmy Woo / Leidseplein 鈥?hip, nice cocktail bar upstairs
The Factory 鈥?they鈥檝e got cool club nights /
The Loveboat (1st Saturday of the month) / party boat with usually Eric E and Roog.
Hotel Arena / check the club nights (Hed Kandi has a night there every 3 months)
Tokyo Project (the new Hed Kandi: is a club night 鈥?might be on that weekend in a club)
Panama (nice to eat, drink, club nights)
This dude I knew there used to smoke something called "Javaanse Jongens" all the time. I don't know if it's any good, he seemed to like it OK.
