Who knows Amsterdam? or have been there? |
Travel Info Can you help me? i woudl like to travel to Amsterdam maybe next September. Is that possible to find a Hotel of pension very cheap in Amsterdam, less than 50 euros (or dollars)?? and how far is the airport from the center of this city?? Travel Tips I suggest you conjsult this website which reviews cheap hotels: http://www.eurocheapo.com/amsterdam/... My own experience is that quality of cheap hotels is not as good in Amsterdam as in many other cities (Paris for example). Others well i dont know about the hotel, but schiphol airport has an underground station right inside of it, which you can take straight into the middle of Amsterdam and it takes about 20 minutes. If you can afford it i recommend taking a bus tour out to a wooden shoe workshop, it was my favourite part of the trip! Amsterdam is not very big city, but it boast freedom. smoking pot is not considered violation. you can always find room or motel. it cost about 100 us dollars, errr about 70 euro. airport is also not very far for it's not a very big city, but it is fun and friendly. but there's always crook you have to be careful about. trying to sell you fake pot or anything funny. Ecstasy are no longer permitted The best thing for hotels is to try the official site of the Netherlands tourism(www.holland.com). There are many chouces of hotels and youth hostels. You may also google for amsterdam accomodation, I am sure you will find lots of choices. The earlier you book your accomodation, the better your chances are. Amsterdam airport ( Schiphol Airport ) is less than 15 k.m from the city. There is a train from the airport ( arrival hall) to the city. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to the central station in the center of the Amsterdam. good luck check out Hostelworld.com I stayed at the liedenspline (sp?) for about 35 euros a night and i was in the middle of everything. not a spectacular room but I just needed a place to sleep. you can find something. I agree with the others. Hotels within this price range might be difficult to find but you could look at hostels or apartments. With apartments your money tends to go alittle bit further and I have used this http://www.holiday-velvet.com/amsterdam... I've also stayed a few hostels in Amsterdam and some of them have private rooms and the price is much lower than a hotel or B&B |
