How can I make $$$ in Amsterdam without proper working papers? |
Travel Info I applied for the papers legally but will not have them for 2 months. I have to feed my infant child and the money I came here with is almost gone! Serious suggestions please. Travel Tips there are plenty of bars that will hire you to be a waiter , some will refuse but hey, you need not give up, there are plenty of cleaning jobs, not the nicest job but hey, you got a mouth to feed right?? go wash windows, wash cars, have a paper route, put in an add at your local super market where you put up one of them little cards that you offer yourself for small tasks (don't know what it is you are capable to do) go to some farmer where they have strawberry's they need to be plucked, sereously, these all seem like a joke jobs but they are real and some pay good money and it will only be for two more months right???? do your thing, goodl uck Others have a look at www.marktplaats.nl or www.viavia.nl (also you can buy the viavia newspaper in the supermarket) go the section - personeel - there's some jobs for Oppas moeder - many people (mostly women) will feeling great if you can help them to take care of their children while they're working. It's a good pay and you can stay with your kids home. Try... you never know.. Be careful though, if you get caught working illegaly not only will you and your employer be fined a substantial amount of money, you may also jeopardise your work/residency-permit... You can find 'zwarte werk', it's pretty much like Dutch Cutie described it above. |
