What is the Cheapest & best way to get from Dortmund to Amsterdam? |
Travel Info If train or bus do I need to book in advance or can I get tickets on my day of travel. Travel Tips you can get tickets on day of travel train is pretty cheap, one way is 22 euro's round trip is 35.40 euro's it takes about 4 hours and you need to change trains twice http://www.ns.nl/servlet/satellite?refer... good luck and have fun Others In germany they have a service called 'Mitfahr' where you can hitch a ride with somebody going in the same direction. Simply go to a mitfahr office a few days in advance, tell them where you're going and pay a small fee, then they'll give you the contact details of somebody going that way. You'll be expected to pay towards petrol. That's the cheapest way. The best way is by train, in my opinion. check out the german train website www.diebahn.de for timetable details. The best and the most comfortable and respectful is by train. Have a nice trip. Take the train, you can get a ticket at the train station on the day of your travel, try to have the proper change, they are all coin machines and do not take paper money. You can get a train ticket the day of travel at the station, no problem, but come a little early, enough to stand in a line for the ticket window , or if possible buy a ticket in the automat. It will be only slightly cheaper on a bus, slower, less comfortable, so take the train. |
