Are Gilders still in use in the Netherlands??

Travel Info
I know the currency is the euro now, but has the Gilder been completely phased out yet? Can you still get them at the bank? Are they still accepted?

Travel Tips
The guilder (gulden) is no longer accepted. Notes can still be traded in but not at every bank, only at the 'Nederlandsche Bank' office in Amsterdam. You'll need to fill out a form and show identification. Coins can no longer be exchanged anywhere. Source(s): http://www.dnb.nl/dnb/home?lang=en&id=tc...
Other Travel Tips
No, but I have some at home in a drawer if you want and can offer a very favourable exchange rate.
nope - they were all taken out of circulation and traded for euros. Those that remain with tourists, emmigrants, collectors, are just that -- a collectors item.
Of course, no. But you can use as a donation at the airport.
No not valid anymore it's Euro completely.
Holland is my neighbour.
