Travel from Amsterdam to Paris?

Travel Info
I expect to travel 4 to 5 weekends to Paris from Amsterdam in Nov/Dec '06. Which is the most economical way to travel. Is it by Air or by Train ?If by air, plz provide website or info on the cheapest airways.

Travel Tips
Different factors affect the price of the ticket, so it is better that you check with the companies involved.

By air, the distance between Amsterdam (AMS) and Paris (PAR) is too short to take anything but direct flights (trust me!! I checked all possible reasonable alternatives). The only airlines operating the route are Air France (AF) and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL). I checked for some random dates in November and December for fares, and the best I got was about 191 euros. You can check with the airlines themselves for exact fares.

By train, direct trains between Amsterdam and Paris are operated by Thalys. Their fares start from 65 euros. You can also take the Intercity train to Brussels and then change to the Thalys train from there to Paris. Source(s): OAG Flight Guide

Other Travel Tips
bus is by far the cheapest;then train and the longuest by air; buses are as frequent as any other means of transport
The most economical (but least comfortable) way is to travel there by Eurolines bus. It'll cost you 41 euro, or 37 for the under-25's.

I live in the Netherlands.
The cheapest way is to travel by Eurolines bus. The train is a bit more comfortable though (and faster, often even faster than the plane).
For me at least Thalys is the only way to go! Advance reservations are usually required. Airlines and airports these days are beyond a sane person's patience and buses for anything but a short trip... are unacceptable.
