Travel Tips Take them where you want Others Well, you can if the hotel doesn't mind, they don't like it if you smoke dope in the street, just be respectful and you shouldn't have any trouble common error...cannabis is not legal in amsterdam..it is decrimilanised...it depends on the hotel..i have smoked in the hotel i stayed in but when i was having a smoke outside the old bill asked me to put it out...very politely explained the law to me...i was not arrested and you are allowed to carry 28 grams without fear of arrest..same as here..the uk..really..it is tolerated but not condoned...happy smoking... It's OK to take them back to your hotel - but check with the hotel about smoking in your room - ask someone they won't be offended - just pleased you asked! used to work in a coffeeshop in Amsterdam smoke smoke where ever you want toke toke where ever you want smoke smoke where ever you want smoke that dope smoke that dope Hi, I'm Dutch. You can take your shoppings back to your hotel, no coffee shop will force you to consume it straight away. However, most hotels will not allow you to smoke your dope inside or right in front of the hotel. Do remember that dope is not legal, only tolerated.
