Is there any duty free shops or hyper markets in rotterdam?

Travel Tips
At the Zestienhoven Airport there is a duty free shop

Rotterdam鈥檚 Zestienhoven Airport (RTM) is 8km from the city, taking just 15-20 minutes by bus or taxi. Bus no. 33 departs every 10 minutes. Return is from Central Station. Airport facilities: Restaurant, bank, outgoing duty free shop, wireless Internet, meeting facilities and car hire.

Supermarkets:
Konmar, a supermarket with a truly universal concept of shopping, has about 130 stores in the country.

The best two are in The Hague and Rotterdam Zuid. You can find all specialty items from Italian, Indian, American to Kosher and the largest selection of exotic and everyday fruits and vegetables, unwrapped and fresh without bruises.

There are different brands of supermarkets in Rotterdam offering goods in a wide range of prices. Some of the cheaper supermarkets are Aldi, Lidl, Bas v/d Heijden or C1000. The supermarkets often sell home-brand goods that are more or less of equal quality as A-brands (well-know brands). Off course the home-brand goods are cheaper.

Specialized Shops
For lovers of the international cuisine Rotterdam offers many specialised shops. Visit the West-Kruiskade, which is at a walking distance from Rotterdam CS (or take tram 1 in the direction of Woudhoek, tram 7 in the direction of Spangen, stop West-Kruiskade). Be prepared to experience a truly cosmopolitan Rotterdam!

Open-Air Markets

Rotterdam has open-air markets spread across town where you can buy fresh fruit, vegetables and other goods at relatively cheap prizes. There are open-air markets in the Afrikaanderwijk (take the blue Erasmus metro line in the direction Spijkenisse or Slinge, stop Rijnhaven), Blaak (take the red Caland metro line in the direction Capelle a/d Ijssel, Ommoord, stop Blaak) and Bospolder/Tussendijken, (take the red Caland metro line in the direction Schiedam, stop Schiedamse Dijk).
