Travel Info Holland...is it a great place to live or visit ? Travel Tips I did both. I loved both. But to find a place to live is a NIGHTMARE. Housing is at a premium, you almost have to know someone to get a good place. Or live in Leiden. Amsterdam is what I'm talking about. Crowded, and pricey. Visit first. Others just to visit, too much people per square feet I had a great time there. m Just visit Holland, don't live there! I did live there for 25 yrs. and am happy finally left. Living is expensive, especially if you're on your own. To sign up for housing may take the wait for about 8 years in the larger cities. Living is expensive in The Netherlands. If you can share rent and utility bills it may be somewhat affordable, when you have a full-time well paid job. I'd actually just visit. There's no need to live in a foreign country unless you want to. Why not try visiting to see if you like it, if you are wondering about living there yourself in the future. |
