Grey Area is a tiny place with a huge reputation.Run by two American enthusiasts known as "The Chiefs". John is very friendly and easy to talk to. Steve is also friendly but often a bit "out to lunch". The shop is a mecca for American tourists visiting Amsterdam. On the wall is a clock to show that it's always 4:20 and the music is usually old American rock. priced at 鈧?.50 a gram and includes such mind-blowing strains as "Grey Mist", "Double Bubble" and "AK47". The amazing "Grey Mist Crystals" (unpressed Dutch hash) is 鈧?5 a gram. Open Daily 12:00-20:00 Source(s): www.greyarea.nl

La Canna and the greenhouse effect are my fav's but the best part of A-dam is that there are hundreds of them, you can bounce from shop to shop very easily on foot and decide for yourself........
Amsterdam is a great place to score some nice herb. You can find coffee shops throughout the center. Some of the great coffee shops that come to mind are the Grasshopper and the Bulldog for example.

The Grasshopper is one of Amsterdam's largest coffee shops and is located near to the Central Train Station (very handy for travelers lol) and only a minute walk from the legendary Amsterdam Red Light District.

The Bulldog Coffee Shop is the Godfather of all coffee shops in Amsterdam. The legendary weed bar is located on the Leidseplein. You can't miss it due to the very large sign of a Bulldog that hangs outside. The Bulldog also operates several other Bulldog coffee shops at other downtown Amsterdam locations including two locations at the Red Light District. You can find more info and a map on their website at: http://www.bulldog.nl/

In case anyone is interested in seeing a weed and hasj menu of a Dutch coffee shop then please visit the link to view an actual weed menu from the Dutch Capital City.
