Travel Tips
A houseboat is a great idea and very adventurous. Go for it if that's what you think, but give some thought to having to do "household chores" and doing things in an unfamiliar way.

If you want to kick back, stay at a hotel and spend a night or two only on a houseboat ( that's my suggestion ). I've given you a link to some hotel directories in Amsterdam and a few central districts. Sort the results by price , star rating and location. Also I've given you a link to the National Tourism website to do some more research on those houseboats.

Good luck with your planning Source(s): http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/nethe...

Go for a nice hotel.
Hey, it's your honeymoon! Go for the sure thing and stay in a nice hotel.
I stayed on a houseboat with some male friends....its called the Jonas Houseboat and you can find it on the web....it is not what I would call fancy, but it is pretty cool to do...if you want king beds and honeymoon trappings then shellin out the big dough for a hotel might be better....but the rocking on the boat is pretty cool, and so is Jonas. He is 100 per night for 2 people.
Hi Katerina,

It's about what you prefer I guess: staying in a houseboat or hotel. There are hundreds of hotels in Amsterdam, you can find by expedia.com or whatever hotelsite.
Houseboats are less available, but, to me, very romantic. Check this website:

The main site:www.bedandbreakfast.nl has a variety of cosy stays in Holland.
Also...if you're considering a houseboat be aware of the weather out side...

During the winter houseboats can be really cold and hard to warm up.

During the summer there are TONS of mosquitos

Spring would be your best bet if you want a pleasant houseboat experience.
