Could anyone provide me with a list of restaurants that have been closed after Katrina?

Travel Info
I would like to know which restaurants in the French quarter or upper garden district of New Orleans have been and remain closed post Katrina. If someone could provide me with a list or tell me how to obtain one I would greatly appreciate it.

Travel Tips
All of the restaurants I know of in the areas you ask about have reopened.

There was a restaurant at the corner of Louisiana and St. Charles (not actually in the Garden District) that did not reopen (the pink building). Can't recall the name.
Others
I concur with Barry. There have been maybe a few that have come and gone -- that may/may not have had anything to do with the storm -- in the areas you mention, but all the business are pretty much the same.

Barry, I believe the name of the place you're thinking of was called Fortissimo's.

If you're curious about a particular restaurant, you can try asking that. But if you're looking for a definite list of names, I recommend you try contacting someone at the Times Picayune or the Gambit, as they've both had good coverage on restaurant closings/reopenings since the storm.
I know for sure that Mr B's has not re-opened. Here are a couple of links to some New Orleans restaurant sites. Enjoy!

A good way to check the restaurant status, menu's, locations, anything really is to go to our local restaurant critic's website. His name is Tom Fitzmorris, and he has kept up with all the openings and changes for about 25 years...and of course after Katrina.
The site is: www.nomenu.com

The restaurants in those areas are open. Citywide, roughly one third of the restaurants in New Orleans are open again since Hurricane Katrina.
