Travel Info How manyof you out there have visited louisiana, and where? Travel Tips I have been to NOLA several times within the past 2 years and was a frequent visitor pre-Katrina. Each time I stayed a month or more post-Katrina as a volunteer co-ordinator of a mainline denominationt to help "gut" homes. Pre-Katrina I travelled to NOLA often and spent considerable time in Houma and Morgan City. I LOVE the city and the people of LA . . . the culture and the ease and "reality" of life both positive and negative. LA to me is a "real" slice of humanity in all manner shape and form.. I want to move to NO and am planning to do so. Others Many parts of it. Most of the state really. After Katrina I went down to N.O it was nice in the french quater the rest was really depressin needless to say I am moving there in Spring 08 lol I enjoyed my short stay and I know now it is even better I like the state but the climate is terrible - sub-tropical with high humidity. In summer it is intolerable however that is when the jazz in New Orleans is at it's best. Only the aficionados brave the conditions. If you are looking for a job, Baton Rouge is the place to go. It really expanding and doing well. well, i live here, so ive been all over. *NOLA* i live here and have travel just about every inch of the state, you name it i probaly been there or have family there lol. |
