Fun things for teens to do in new york? |
Travel Info on a saturday or fridayy; and no teen clubss Travel Tips When I was 18 I moved to NYC on my own... and the nightlife is pretty lame if you're under 21... but that's only if you want to be drinking and such... But there is a lot of fun to be had! Go to a Broadway play & then out to dinner. OR check in the Village Voice (free local paper in the red bins on the street) in their activities section. They have all sorts of things to do.. like concerts, exibits, cool events, etc etc. Now and then there are movies played on a big screen at Bryant Park or there are also music activities there... those are fun to go to with friends. Bring a picnic basket and sheet or something to sit on. Your best bet is looking at the Village Voice (which you can also access online @ villagevoice.com). Once the summer rolls on the movies should appear there. There are also night time movies over on the piers. They're fun. I went with a bunch of friends last summer to watch Willy Wonka and The Big Lebowski. There were a few food vendors and people took picnic baskets (some people took wine) and the pier was packed with Manhattanites watching with us on a big screen outside in the beautiful summer night. It was really nice. Movie & Music Festivals are a lot of fun. Meet lots of people, socialize, have a nice time, they're free, etc etc etc. HOPE THIS HELPS! OHH GOD EVERYTHING IS FUN THERE BROADWAY SHOWS,,SHOPPING,SITE SEEING, RESTAURANTS, CENTRAL PARK,,,BRONX ZOO,,NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM ( NOT BORING AT ALL) check out ripleys believe it or not... see a broadway show, id recommend rent or hairspray check out madam tusads hous eof wax museum go to jekyl and hyde restaurant on west 4th street (so much fun and everyone is in costumes) Go bowling at lucky strikes (laser bowlign at midnight) check out chelsea piers, theres circus trampoline lessons and trapeze lessons indoor rink/skateboard park check out fao shwartz on madison avenue go shopping in china town and bargain for the best deals friday nights between 4-6 free museum night at MOMA (museum of modern art) theres lots of fun stuff to do in nyc besides underage drinking! so many fun things to do |
