Where is a place that has camping and kayaking close to New York City?

I would like to go for a weekend trip camping and kayaking, about 1 hour to 2 hours from NYC

Delaware River on the New Jersey/Penn. border is about 2 hours from NYC. You can kayak, canoe, raft, etc. on the Delaware and there are campgrounds, cabins, motel style accomodations, etc. Contact www.kittatinny.com regarding the river trips.
