Best Off Broadway Show in NYC for the Fall 2007?

Travel Info
Large group looking for a great off Broadway Show? Any suggestions would help a lot.

Thanks!

Travel Tips
As it goes for off broadway, one of the longest running is "Blue Man Group". Because of the unique quality of this show, I think it may appeal to a large group. "Altar Boyz" is also great, but it may appeal to a younger to middle age crowd because it is about a Christian Boy Band (a la 'N Sync) . "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" shows scenes/songs all about love and relationships- it's cute and campy and may appeal to many people! If you're going for something that you wouldn't see on the Broadway stage (more like performance art...a bit avant garde) I would choose either "Blue Man Group" or "Be by Mayumana". If you want more commercial theater- something that you would see on Broadway, then go with "Altar Boyz" or "I Love You..Perfect.. Change". Good luck and enjoy the show!
Others
Well, it depends on what kind of group you are. If you're a group of families, kids AND adults going to see a show, I highly recommend "Mary Poppins". It's a high energy, fun show based off of the terrific Disney movie of the same title. It has a FABULOUS cast of performers, it's really a great deal of fun. Other good shows that are appropriate for kids are "The Lion King" and "Wicked"

If it's more of an adult group and you're looking for a really Broadway-Broadway show to see, the new production of "Les Miserables" is really great. It's a classic show with incredible music,.and it's really brilliantly put together.

There's also your classic show, "The Phantom of the Opera", pretty much just great for everyone. Wonderful show, I've seen it twice.

If you're looking for a more contemporary show, "Avenue Q" or "Legally Blonde" are both very good as well, though I woud not suggest bringing children to either, as they have more adult themes.

If I were you, I'd check out Broadway.com. There are reviews for every show on Broadway, and you can find out a little more about them.

Also, if it helps you, if you join the free Playbill club at Playbill.com, you have really super discounts for shows available to you.

feel free to drop me a line if you have ANY questions!! I'm the Broadway Diva :)
