What is a decent, inexpensive hotel in New York that will be convenient for a family visiting a few sites? |
Travel Info We are spending like 2 or 3 nights in the city before heading off to Cooperstown. We are going to go to a Yankees game, and let the girls do some shopping if possible. Please give some advice on places to stay without breaking a bank. Please dont recommend Hotels.com...i just want personal opinions! thanks Travel Tips Inexpensive is a relative term in NYC. Personally, I like the Skyline Hotel at 49th and 10th - larger rooms and still convenient to kid friendly shows. Other options, Portland Square Hotel is in Times Square - smaller rooms in this boutique sstyle hotel but great location. Ramada Inn New Yorker at 34th and 8th is convenient to shopping - very near to Penn Station, Macy's, Manhattan Mall and more. Rooms are OK - it is an older property. If you'd like to stay in NJ - Hampton Inn Secaucus is a good choice/ Enkoy! Others <<<NJ GIRL HERE STAY IN NJ at the airport and take trains in or rent a car because NOT ONLY is NYC the most expensive if you dont stay 4-5 star you may have some unwanted geusts FOR REAL! RATS, cockroachs and MOLD! Its a nice place to visit but its good to get out of there too...WAY TOO MUCH STIMULATION DONT EVER STAY AT THE MILFORD PLAZA EITHER! They call it THE MILDEW PLAZA yuk! YEAH GO YANKEES! manhattan is expensive avoind it. if you are driving try get a hotal by laguardia airport. i think the hotel name is wyandham. iam not sure of spelling.but this the bet bet if u dont mind traveling bak and fort to manhattan wich is not that far. rashid. if u have furthe question call me cell 718-930-1959 |
