Know of any good, laid back bars in Manhattan? |
Travel Info I am going to New York this weekend and am looking for some cool places to hang out at! I don't want any super fancy clubs or anything where I have to wait in line and be approved of according to my outfit, lol. Just a cool place where we can wear jeans, have some drinks, and have some fun. Crowds of people in their 20's and 30's. Know of anything? Thanks! Travel Tips While there are laid back bars all over, a good place to find them is the upper west side. Bourbon Street 407 Amstersam Ave between 79th and 80th Jake's Dilema 430 Amsterdam between 80th and 81st Brother Jimmy's 428 Amsterdam between 80th and 81st Dead Poet 450 Amsterdam at 82nd street Take the 1 train to 79th or the BC to 81st and head to Amsterdam Avenue, laid back atmostphere abounds. Others Try Dewey's Tavern - it is right next the Flat-Iron building. Great bar, good food, the people are down to earth and the bartenders are cool! |
