Travel Info Is there a train that starts in Long Island, NY (the North Shore) to Camden, NJ? I am new to the Long Island area, so I need some help with getting information. Thanks. Travel Tips LIRR to Penn Station NJ Transit North East Corridor to Trenton NJ Transit River Line to Camden (you have to go across the street to get to the River Line). Others You'll need to take a train into Manhattan. There you can take Amtrack down to Philadelphia. Then hop a cab to Camden. Before you arrive in Camden don your bulletproof vest. And make out your will. Take the Long Island Rail Road to New York Penn Station. At Penn Station take the NJ Transit to Camden. Watch yourself in Camden. You're actually better off taking Greyhound from the Port Authority-42St & 8th Ave Not only is the bus a lot cheaper than the train , it will go straight into Camden and then you're on your own If you're on the North Shore proper you have no difficulty at all getting a train -LIRR- into Manhattan. me-native |
