The area around Macy's - 34th Street and Sixth Avenue - lots of shopping on 34th Street, along Sixth Avenue, along Seventh Avenue. Right near Macy's is the Manhattan Mall, an H&M, a Daffy's and more than a dozen shoe stores. Fifth Avenue is famous for upscale shopping - Tiffany and Cartier are on Fifth Avenue. More affordable shopping on Fifth includes Lord & Taylor (Fifth and 38th Street) and Saks. Canal Street in Chinatown has great shopping for pocketbooks, tee shirts, scarves, costume jewelry - there are also some excellent genuine jewelry stores on Canal Street.
