What are some cheap(or free) nice places to stay in New York?or around New York? |
Travel Info I will be visiting NY this Summer. Is there free of charge homestay in USA? Are some as cheap as under $20 per person per night?or under $600 per room per month? I am willing to do housework to exchange the travel expense. Travel Tips New York & cheap unfortunately don't go with each other in the same sentance. You can try and check adds for this area to see if anyone is advertising for what you are asking for, but unfortunately nothing is free and under $20 dollars is just never going to happen. You have to consider motels have to charge a certain amount to even keep the place operational with lights, gas, AC, housekeeping, etc. let alone turn a profit. Good Luck, it seems you will need it! Nassau will be more expensive because it's closer to NYC. Yes, you can find some places for under $600 for a room. That won't be the easiest thing--but it's possible. My friend lives out by SE Prospect Park in Brooklyn and pays $400. You can find small bedrooms for cheap sometimes or rooms waaaay out in Queens or Brooklyn or the Bronx or Staten Island for this price. Look on Craigslist.org; put it your price limit of $600 and see what comes it. It won't be easy at all, but it is possible. You just need some patience and perseverance. |
