Can anyone compare East Side Manhattan to the West Side?

The East side is more conservative, old money--This is where most people think when they think of NY wealth (Park Avenue, 5th Avenue, etc).

The West side is more liberal, (also wealthy) but more laid back. It's more common to see baby strollers and families.
