Travel Info Which neighborhood do you thing is the best to live in Manhattan? Travel Tips Love the Upper West Side! It's a great neighborhood! Close to all the art scene. You have access to Central Park and Riverside Park. Close to Columbia University. Quiet enough you can sleep at night. Reasonable price range. Others It depends on what you like to do and what your budget is. For the most part, unless you have a lot of money, you won't just get to pick any neighborhood you feel like living in. If, in theory, I had an unlimited budget, I'd pick the West Village (also known as Greenwich Village or "the Village"). It's got a small town feel to it. Walking down the streets, you'd never guess that you were in NYC. im with the gopher on this one, unless your uber-rich, you live out of circumstance and ultimately live in different neighborhoods based on on income. however, west village and greenwich village areas definately take the cake. Gramercy Park has its features too, but the village has always been where its at for the young, the hip , and the free-thinkers native Gramercy Park. It is NYC, the Best place is the most expensive (it is how the city works, people always pay more for the "best" whether it is right or wrong). Anyone can afford to live in the Upper East Side or the villiage. It takes A LOT to live in the true gramercy park area. love the museum mile! The best part of Manhattan! |
