Is the Beekman Hotel in New York City - near a lot of great attractions/in a good eara of NYC? |
Travel Info The hotel is located at ... 3 Mitchell Place New York, NY 10017 I am going to NYC for the first time in August - i want to book at the Beekman - but before i do i want to know if its in a good location. we are planning on visiting ... Statue of Liberty Ground Zero 5th Avenue (for shopping) Empire State Building and more Would this hotel be good for us? Thanks SOOO much in advance! Travel Tips The Beekman Hotel is in a Wealthy Residential Area on the East Side of Manhattan near the UN. It is a very safe and pretty quiet area. It is a little out of the way compared to some other places. But you should understand that Manhattan is a pretty small island and it is very easy to get around by subway and walking ( or cab but $$). When I say the Beekman is out of the way I mean it is way over on the East Side -- East of 1st Ave -- the subway is a 3 long (crosstown blocks) away. You could walk to Fifth Ave shopping and Central Park from the Hotel. You are about 3 1/2 to 4 miles from Ground Zero and ferry to Statue of Liberty. Hope that helps.
