okay so i'm going on a vacation to NEW YORK CITY this weekend for 3 nights and i was looking for a hotel around that area but they were too expensive. my family consists of 5 people; 2 adults and 3 kids so i chose this hotel
i like the marriot chain so what do u think

That is a nice hotel, but you need to realize that Parsippany is waaaay outside of Manhattan. I live near Parsippany and I have an hour-and-thirty-minute train ride into the city. I'd imagine this would be the same for you, as the closest train station is in Dover, which is at the end of the line. You also need to know that because you are coming from so far the money you'll be spending on train tickets for five people will be astronomical- $11.50 one way for adults.

The Marriott is a wonderful hotel chain. It certainly isnt the cheapest in town, but you'll be able to save money because you can eat breakfasts and maybe lunches in the room. Enjoy New York-it really is a wonderful town.
Parsippany is quite a few miles outside of NYC. What is your budget? If you like Marriott, there's the Marriott Marquis right in Times Square, the Marriott East Side near Grand Central station, and the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott right on the Brooklyn side of the bridge.

Closer to NYC but still in NJ, you could look for Marriott hotels in Hoboken, Jersey City, Newark, Fort Lee, Weehawken, or any of the towns in those areas. It will put you closer to public transportation into NYC (trust me, you do NOT want to drive) and may be cheaper than the Marriott in NYC.

Parsippany is not convenient to Manhattan or the rest of NYC. Try the Courtyard by Marriott located just over the river in Jersey City.
