Any mother and toddler groups in Brooklyn NYC area?

I just moved here from the UK to NYC so my baby and I could live with my husband. I feel a bit isolated, I loved New York as a single gal, but now I feel a bit isolated.

He is at work all day, and is great and understanding, but I feel lost.

Any ideas?

Landmark Sunshine Cinemas on Houston Street in Manhattan has a "Rattle & Reel" special on Wednesdays - adult pays normal price but babies welcome and get in free. They screen a good selection of independent/foreign films.
