Most of the clubs play R&B or Hiphop at least one one floor these days. Celebrity night spots abound but that doesn't mean that you can get into one or will party in the same room with them as most use VIP rooms on separate floors. Covers range from $5-50 with most of the hotter clubs at the $20-40 range. The meatpacking district will have the current club scene but plan on dropping a bundle and dress to impress in order to get in. The weather in September can be great, 70s and sunny but it could also be rainy or colder or warmer. Check the weather forecasts before you come but it will get colder in the evenings and most places will still be over-air conditioned so you will need to bring a jacket or sweater.
