Confused about taxis and Laguardia..? |
Travel Info what would it cost to take a cab from Laguard to times sq, some have said theres a set rate of 40 bucks, but some say there isnt a set rate...which is it? seems a shuttle with ny airport service would be cheaper.. Travel Tips No flat rate from LGA. I have taken this cab ride when traffic was not too bad for about $25. however, the bus/subway option is easy to do and obviously a much better deal. Others If you are traveling alone, the shuttle bus will be cheaper. Taxis cost $45 flat from JFK to Manhattan, so LaGuardia should be about the same even though there's no flat fare for LaGuardia. The cheapest way from LaGuardia to Times Square is the bus/subway. You can pick up a 1-day or 7-day, unlimited ride pass at the airport. 1-day is $7, 7-day is $24 for unlimited rids. A great deal if you are spending time. From the airport, you can take the M60 bus to 125th and Lexington. From there take a 4/5/6 train to Grand Central Station and the shuttle across to Times Square. There are also airport busses that will take you to Grand Central or the Port Authority. The last time I took one, it was $14. For more info, check this site: http://www.newyorkology.com/archives/200... Any taxi I have been in has a set rate of 45$ from laguardia to anywhere in manhattan. If you can find another method of transportation it would be a much better idea the best is to take the air train at the airport to jamaica and get the train to penn station which takes you to 33 & 34th street in midtown. you can walk to many places from there or get a cab there is a hotel right across the street from penn station. You can walk to times square in 10 to 15 minutes. |
