Jfk to empire state? |
Travel Info hi, my hotel is very close to the Empire State and I do not have a lot of luggage, so i don't really need a cab. what is a good/cheap way to get from JFK to the Empire State area (my hotel is at 31st St and 5th ave)? Travel Tips Depends - do you want quick or cheap? There's an airtrain (http://www.mta.info/mta/airtrain.htm)... from JFK that will take you to either a subway stop or to the Jamaica station of the Long Island Rail Road. But the subways are a LOOOOONG trip to Manhattan from that part of Queens, and don't run through the nicest neighborhoods. LIRR will work faster, though cost a little more. There's also some bus services from JFK to Penn Station (http://www.panynj.gov/commutingtravel/ai... Others Take the airtrain to jamaica and take the e train all the way to penn station. Or take the LIRR the same route. The LIRR is more comfortable, but more expensive. Its also faster by a little bit. |
