I heard that Newcastle is a good place to go for a stag party. Any experiences?

Travel Tips
Newcastle is famous as a party city, the pubs and clubs do a good trade throughout the week. Also, there is a drinking area to suit most tastes - from the trendy Quayside to the local enclave in the Bigge Market. Drink is still cheap in some areas, although more than it used to be. I agree with xoymaq's comments about the ladies, throughout the year there is not a shortage of flesh on display.

I disagree that Newcastle is an ugly city. Recent developments to the Quayside in particular have made a huge difference. The Millennium Bridge, Baltic Art gallery and Sage Music Centre are all amazing buildings.

I don't think there are any restrictions on stag do's in the majority of bars and clubs, but things might have changed since I was last up there. Getting around is easy thanks to the Metro underground train running from the airport all the way south to Sunderland.
