in both places somewhere along the line someone built a castle, a new one. To replace the old ones. They weren't very creative with names. Tyne comes first.. around 1080. Much like places all over the world, there's a double. (How many "Washington"s are there in the states? Hey, there's even one in a suburb of Newcastle Upon Tyne!)
