well it's HUGE so there is lots to explore! Battlefields, Castles, Country Houses/Gardens, Country Parks, Hadrian's Wall/Forts, Lots of museums, Kielder Water, large towns, villages, small Fishing Villages, Holy Island & The Farne Islands.

The coast is just beautiful, theres a 40 mile stretch of 'heritage coast' from Amble to Berwick Upon Tweed. And in the southern part of northumberland.. Druridge Bay, Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, South Beach Blyth & Seaton Sluice.
