Why are package holidays cheaper when Newcastle is the airport of departure? |
Travel Info Why are package holidays cheaper when Newcastle is the airport of departure? Travel Tips I didn't realise Newcastle was cheap. I search for holidays and put newcastle as my 1st choice of airport but have flown from teeside (durham tees valley) cheaper than what it would have cost me from newcastle, for the same package holiday. Teeside is farther away from me but not difficulrt to get to and because we leave the car at the airport its also not an inconvenience. I tend to find that gatwick is far more the cheapest airport for package holidays and always seem to see them from 拢99. Wished at times I lived nearer to gatwick, I'd be booking holidays every month. Lol. Others What are you high? Did you look at the question you posted and thought the grammer was correct? Because Newcastle has not got an airport. A shed and a runway. lol Part of the cost of operating a flight is the charge made by the airport for landing, parking and servicing an aircraft. It depends on the size and weight of the plane, the number of passengers and whether they board the plane from the terminal or from a bus. If an airport wants to increase business, they can offer good rates to the airlines, and that discount gets passed on in the cost of the holiday. Maybe your holiday company has negotiated a good deal with Newcastle. Must have been a special promotion, could be not much demand so trying to fill the plane. i agree with helen flying from teeside airport is cheaper than newcastle this year saved aboot 200 quid |
