Is the Salary pay in Ottawa higher than in The Niagara Regions? |
Travel Info Is the salary pay in general in Ottawa higher than in St.Catharines,Welland, ont eventhough the Niagara Region is also in Ontario as Ottawa is.What about the RENTING COSTS for a 2 bedrooms Apartment in Ottawa,is it higher than the Niagara Regions? Thanks for your help. Travel Tips Hmmm. Depends on what job you are looking for. Ottawa is heavily government positions. Good pay. Niagara Region, St. Cathtarines & Welland have alot of union positions in the auto & auto support fields. So you see, you could get very good paying jobs in either area. My guess re. rents would be that it would be higher in Ottawa. This is the nations capital and I would guess there are alot more people looking for fewer available places to live. Others I would have to agree with the above poster, it depends on what industry or skills you have. If you are english/french and are happy to work in an office then ottawa is the place to be. Salaries are great and most are gov't positions. But labour in ottawa isnt' all that great. many only make 10 dollars an hour and the rent would be much higher or you would be taking a much longer commute to and from work. Niagara would be more labour based, be able to find a reasonable home within an easy commute. check out www.jobbank.gc.ca for job information. personally i wouldn't move anywhere without a job first |
