What Airport is near Niagara Falls?

Should I rent a car or would it be better just to take a cab (on the U.S. side) from the airport to a hotel within a mile from the Falls?
Parking at the hotel is about $15 a day and I'll be there for about three days. I don't really know the area. If there is something to do other than watch water obey the law of gravity I would be interested, but I haven't seen anything on the internet. I don't want to rent a car and have it sit in the parking lot the whole time I'm there.
Any suggestions?

i recomend going to toronto. i mean, if ur coming up that way. there are many things to do in toronto. so like, you could fly to pearson int. airport (in toronto) rent a car, go through toronto, make ur way down to niagra, then back up to toronto?
I would say fly into BUF buffalo/niagara airport it is cheaper and closer than going to Toronto. You do not need to rent a car, the airport offers shuttle services to the hotels and most of the hotels offer shuttle services to the attractions. Check and see what your hotel offers before you spend money on a car because once you are in the area you can walk to most everything. There is a good Casino on the Canadian side.
Buffalo, NY is by far the closest airport. I am sure there must be busses from the airport to Niagara Falls, NY, especially now that the Seneca nation's casino has opened there.
the one in Buffalo is pretty close, the down side however that plane tickets can be expensive specially during peak traveling season like summer and xmas. Im going to the fall at the end of july and because plane ticket were expensive my family is flying to newark and then driving like few hours to the fall... more shipper.
