What are the pros and cons of a family vacation to niagra falls? |
Travel Info What are the pros and cons of a family vacation to niagra falls? Travel Tips i'm not sure how these people can say NF is BORING!! There's TONS to do there. The scenic stuff. The shopping. The Maid of the Mist Tour, The THunder of the Falls tour (not sure if they still do that one). 3 Sisters Islands where you can actually get right up close to the water. Marineland in Can. The Gorge. The novelty of going to a different country if you're from somewhere far from there. If all that is boring, then you can just have a picnic in the park. Source(s): i'm from there. and its never boring for me. Other Travel Tips It depends on how long your trip is. If it is a one day trip you should be fun. I went with my husband and we looked at the falls and did some window shopping in town. Otherwise, kinda boring if you ask me. Good place for a day trip. See the falls from a few different angles, go out on a boat ride under the falls, it's all good. But as the previous poster said, it gets pretty boring once the novelty of the falls wears off. There's an amusement park there (Marineland), which is another good place to take the kids on a family vacation. But you probably would want to move on after a day or two. Plus, the whole Falls area is really crowded in the summertime. Still, nice place to stop over on your way to Toronto, but there's not a whole lot there, beyond the falls themselves. Being a tourist who knows to only go to Niagara Falls for a day trip. Ive never been there but my travel agent suggested not to go there with kids under 14; First its kind of boring. Did you check prices yet? I would suggest to go to http://www.galaxy.joystar.com I really would suggest a williamsburg Vacation for the family; Lots to do and very nice. I just took my family. Unless you have a extra truck load of cash, I would stay on the US side a few miles from falls or in Buffalo. The hotels are cheep but on the Canada side everything is expensive. $3.50 for 2 12oz cans of coke at the store. I would make sure to go to the Canadian side for 1 day or 2 but might wanna pack a cooler if you want to save some cash. Canadian side has high taxes and fees with everything it seems like. Parking near falls ranges from $10 to $18. I will not stay in Canada again. Maybe just visit for the day till midnight. My kids liked seeing the falls and sites during the day and night. Not boring, plenty to do and spend money on. |
