What are the best places to vist in Niagara Falls, ON? |
Travel Info just asking Travel Tips www.niagarafalls.ca www.tourismniagara.com www.infoniagara.com www.niagarafallshotels.com Hope these help! Others I'm sorry I forget a lot of the names but besides the falls themselves there's this massive kind of downtown area there right by the falls, there's a museum of Ripley's Believe It or Not... there, I believe there's a kind of air pressurized drop tower that was operated as an attraction by the WWE. The wax museum is really popular and interesting and I believe there's a casino that's a bit of a drive from the downtown area as well. There's also a Hard Rock Cafe down towards the falls there and there's plenty of stuff to do. Also if you don't have reservations yet for a place to stay don't stay too close to the downtown area, the bright lights and noise might actually keep you awake part of the night or tempt you to go back out. Stay up that road a ways if you can find a nice place to stay. There's plenty to do there for families as well including a really big arcade for kids and there's also the tower which I also forget the name of right now, it takes you to the top and up there there's a really nice restaurant with a slow rotating pivot which basically takes you all around the view. There's also lots of shopping in there and I also believe there's an exhibit of the various things people have gone over the falls in from barells to home-made submarines. (Been there for a vacation about 2 years ago) I live right by the Falls and have been there numerous times over the years. I would check out the Falls, and then Journey Behind The Falls, Maid of the Mist or the Jetboat tours of the falls. There is also the Skylon tower, Butterfly Conservatory, Bird Kingdom, Botanical Gardens, Marineland (which isnt very good), Imax. The main tourist spot is Clifton Hill where there is wax museums, a new ferris wheel, other museumes/attractions, haunted houses. Resturants here are very pricey for the food that you get. The two Casinos are fun, and there is a brand new indoor water park as well. Check out Niagara-on-the-Lake too, or Port Dalhousie. Both are within a 25 minute drive. I would highly recommend the Niagara-on-the-Lake area which is due north of the falls; about 15 minutes on Niagara Parkway. Beautiful and lots of wineries. Take a wine tour. Lots of fun! Marineland! Maid of the Mist Skylon Tower! SkyWheel! Birds of the Lost Kingdom! Go for a walk behind the Horseshoe Falls! The Butterfly Building with live butterflies flying all around you! HAVE FUN, FUN, FUN!!!! I guess you can tell I love Niagara Falls .......... :D . |
