What are some good things to site see in Niagra on the lake? |
Travel Info Im going on Va ka around Niagra Falls and Niagra on the lake. What are the best places to see? Travel Tips It's a pretty little town, there's nothing particularly exciting there, but it is nice to wander around and relax. If you're there during the Shaw festival, you could go to see one of the plays. http://www.shawfest.com/ Queen street has some cute little shops and is nice to explore for a while. One of the things I found interesting the first time I was there was visiting the apothecary, a real pharmacy from the 1800's with preserved little bottles and cans of old remedies. http://www.heritagefdn.on.ca/userfiles/h... Closer to Niagra Falls there is a butterfly conservatory in the botanical gardens http://www.niagarafallslive.com/butterfl... if you're interested in that sort of thing. Also, be sure to stop on the way to Niagra Falls to buy some fruit at one of the roadside stands, it's better than anything you can buy at a store.
