Is there enough to do at Niagara Falls for 3 days?

Travel Info
Niagara falls is about a 6 1/2 hour drive for us.... we are thinking of staying 3 days.... will we have enough to do?

Travel Tips
I may be bias, But the Canadian side!! We have a lot to offer, a lot of chocie for accomdations ( Big Name brand hotels, small family runs ones, B&B's along the Niagara River), cheap motels (not something I would reccomend), Camp grounds, hostels you name it it's here. A lot of the bigger names have fallsview, Marriott is beautiful! Don't go all the way up to the tops of these hotels though, if there is a lot of Mist from the Falls while you are hear, you won't be able to see anything. Might I also suggest mid-week prices double on the weekend, Saturday is the worst!!

The Niagara Parks Commission has a lot to do, Maid of the Mist which will take you down to the brink of the Falls by boat, or you can do the Journey Behind the Falls which is jsut that. For hiking we have the Niagara Parks Recreation Trial it's like 58 kilometres long and it's paved, the portion close to the Spansish Areo Car (cable car over the rapids) you can actually walk down to the Niagara River, get in all three your nature, hiking and exploring, be careful down there though it can get slippery, it is a well used trial by locals. Induldge in the People Mover System the city has, you can buy an allday pass for like 8 bucks I think and it takes you from one end to the other and you can get on and off as much as you like. You can also hike through Queenston Heights, which will take you to the largest working floral clock.

There is plenty to do and see here, you will also come across cheesy stuff here a lot of wax museums and tacky gift shops (selling you Niagara Water lol). We have plenty of Golf up this way as well if you are into that. As for restaurants there are millions or what seems like a lot.

My fav restaurant by far is the Keg Steakhouse and Bar on Victoria (cheaper then the one in the Embassy Suites). They make the best steaks EVER and there drinks are really good too.....make sure you go there hungry!

Entertainment wise, there is a new Bar opening in the Fallsview Casino called Dragonfly, will be open when you get here, it is said to have th most advanced sound and light system in North American (1.2million bucks worth). Aside from that the Spicy Olive on Centre Street they do the live band thing, in a classy type atmosphere, Dance Club (sometimes a meat market) is Rumours Nite Club on the Top of Clifton Hill. You can also check out any of the Casinos (should mention them since Fallsview is my place of employment). Casino Niagara gears towards "fun" Fallsview more towards "elegance", both have live entertainment and you can shuttle between the 2.

With all this being said, hope you have fun in my hometown and you never know I may just serve you a beverage at the casino!!
Take Care and Have Fun!!
There is not only gambling here !!

Yeah if you like to gamble
If you're not gamblers, view Niagara Falls then get back into the car and drive less than two hours to Toronto. You'll wish you had more time - lots to do here: http://spaces.msn.com/thetravelzine-toro...
You can stretch the falls into 2 days is you check out other attractions: botanical gardens, Skylon tower, whirlpool aero car, and Casino Niagara. You could then spend 1 day in "Niagara-on-the-lake", which is rich in history, shops, restaurants, wine.

Three days is a stretch for Niagara FAlls, but if you are driving there are lots of other things to do within easy driving range. Check with a tourist information center and you will quickly find interesting ways to fill your day. Once you've seen the falls, you've seen them.
Yeah, you can do the gambling thing like other suggested. There are some funny/corny attractions in the area (wax museums, Niagra Falls museums). There are good places to walk and see nice plants and stuff (The floral clock is cool and you can either ride a bus there or take a nice hike along the falls river.) You can ride this over-the-river tram thing that passes over a spot where three rivers meet and form a whirlpool. Watch the light show at night and see the fireworks. I'd say there's enough there to do for three days, but three days is about it.
